Ruth Beatrice Griffin ofDesPiaaes Funeral services for Ruth Beatrice Haberman Griffin, 79, will be held at .6 p.m. Tuesday, at First United Methodist Church of Des Plaines, Graceland Graceland at Prairie, Des Plaines. Born Feb. 26,1922, in Waupaca, Wis., she died Saturday, Nov. 24,2001, at her home. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Mich. Mrs. Griffin had worked for 20 years in contract contract sales for Sears in Oak Brook and Niles. She was very active at First United Methodist Church of Des Plaines. Her family will especially remember her as a devoted wife and mother." Survivors include her sons, Gary (Barbara) Griffin of Des Moines, Iowa, and Roger (Karen) Griffin of Deerfield; daughters, Nina (Michael) Leider of Des Plaines, Karen (Wayne) Florczak of San Antonio, Texas, and Darlene (Bob) Zeier of Prospect Heights; brother Edward (Mary) Haberman Haberman of Grand Rapids; sisters, Jean (the late Richard) Jorgensen of Grand Rapids, Marian (the late Weldon) Holbrook of McKnney, Texas, and Nancy (Wayne) Andree of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren; Bve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd M. Griffin; and brother Marvin (the late Barbara) Haberman. Visitation will be from 4 pjn. until the time of services Tuesday, at the church. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Methodist Church of Des Plaines; to Rainbow Hospice, Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, IL 60068; or to one's favorite charity.
