Michael E. Crofoot died at his home in Pontiac Sunday morning, May 11. Mr. Crofoot was born March 14, 1822, in Florida, Montgomery Co., New York. He studied law with Gen. H. L. Stevens, of Rochester, and in 1845 followed the latter to Pontiac, Mich. In the winter of 1846 he was admitted to the bar in Oakland County, and continued in the regular practice of the law up to within the last two years.
