Obituaries BeniiieF, Hoffman Bennie F. Hoffman, 51, of Box 56, Mount union R. D. 2, was dead on arrival at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15,1981 after suffering a heart attack at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday while driving On Route 22, Henderson Henderson Township, 2.5 miles east of Huntingdon. Born June 22, 1929 in Saltillo, he was the son of Delwin and Edna (Watkins) Hoffman. His mother of Saltillo survives. He is also survived by: a son, Philip B. Hoffman of Kistler; three daughters, Mrs. Allen (Diane) Newland of Manville, N. J., and Tina R. Hoffman and Stacey Hoffman, both of Somerville, N. J.; and two grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers also survive: Genevieve Keith of Three Springs R. D.; Earl Hoffman of Fayetteville; Grace Hoffman Hoffman and Dewey W. Hoffman, both of Saltillo; Verna L. Shields of Mount Union; and Donna F. Park of Star Route, Three Springs. Also surviving are: two step - sisters, Eunice Beam of Newton Hamilton and Phyllis Jacka of McVeytown R. D.; one step - brother, Rex Hoffman Hoffman of Three Springs R. D.; and Freida Brumbaugh, with whom he has resided in Allenport for the past 14 years. He .was of the Protestant faith. A 1947 graduate of Saltillo High School, he was employed for 15 years at The Letterkenny Letterkenny Ordinance Depot, Chambersburg. A U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, 68th Fighter - Intercepter Squadron, South Pacific, he was a member of the Madden - Wennick Post No. 518, American Legion of Rockhill Furnace, and ^e Saltillo Rod and Gun Club. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home,. Mount Union, with the Rev. Donald Pellman officiating. Interment will be made in Saltillo Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services.
