Rockt Jr., left the city somewhat intoxicat­ ed and when t&ey' reached the Rock' farm they began tp quarrel. Mr*. Rock's brother, Peter Strjeff, stepped between the men to part them, whenl Jones turned upon him and In the] melee bit Mr. Strieff's nose In a hor­ rible inanner. Jones was arrested and brought before Justice J. M. Howland and was bound over to the district court, the bond being placed at ?2,000, which he was unable to furnish, and was taken to the coun­ ty jail by Deputy Sheriff Frank Hoffine. Jones !B A coal miner by| occupation.
