UB WILL OPPOSE ALUMNI TOMORROW by of ago team a of 21 were all- a guard matured to the a is who The University of Bridgeport basketball team will begin a 22- game schedule against an all-star Alumni team in the Brass Recreation center tomorrow night The UB freshmen will meet an unnamed foe in a prelim at 7 o'clock. Coach Herb Gllnes is starting his 10th yeai as UB mentor. Although Gllnes has not disclosed bis starting line-up, it is believed to consist of a veteran team, with he .possible exception of sophomore Larry Babich, a 6 foot 6 inch forward who_performed with the Junor Varsity a year ago. Babich has been impressive-in drills, including the team's scrimmages against Danbury State Teachers and Trinity College. Jimmy Davlns, the club's regular pivot man and most valuable player n last year's New England tournament, may not see action tomorrow night becausesof a bruised ankle Incurred while performing with he university's soccer team. Should' bavins be idle, the line-up probably will consist--of Babich and Stan Sllverberg at forwards, Jack Lig- flns at 'center, and Ernie Amaral md Billy Duggan at the guards. All the men were front line performers ast season with the exception of Babich. Silverb'crg and Amaral. seniors, will be playing their fourth year with the varsity, while Duggan begins his third and Llggins his second.
