The Evangelical Christian Science Church has been holding meetings every Sunday tit Rauscber'a for more than a year, but never before has there been public exhibition of the curing powers of the members of the faith. Bishop Sabin at the meetings heretofore has confined himself to giving instruction to bis for* lowers on faith healing. PUrmg the past tuinmer he was at Atlantic City, and while there, according a statement made last night, cured hundreds of people of all sorts of sicknesses. He claims there is hardly any kind of, ailment he cannot cure. He aald he ex- pects to repeat the success he says he had with many patients cured during private Interviews. Promises to Cure Them. "I hope every one In the city, who an ailment and wants to b« cured, will come to me Sunday," he said, last "If they will only allow me to lay bands on them for but a minute. I every belief that I will be successful. "In the past, we have cured Q9 per of all cases submitted to us. And most of them have been difficult, because, as a general thing, people do not resort Christian Science until they have tried regular medical means, and have failed to be helped. We cure anything within reason, and any person with any ordinary aliment, who wants to be made whole again, need only come to me Sunday. I "It Is not necessary that I say .anything to them. We cure entirely by thought suggestion, and words are not essential. AIL.we want Is faith. Without faith no cure can be worked, for then our words and thoughts are useless. By placing my hands on the patients and suggesting through their minds that they are cured, we are able to drive away pain. Methods Are Simple. "The methods I will pursue tomorrow are simple. It is a well-known scientific fact tbat many kinds of ailments can bettered if the person suffering will only become convinced that their minds rule their bodies, and that what they win will be accomplished. Let a person once, really come under the influence of a strong ahd healthy mind and resolve to cure himself torjugb the control of mind over matter, tnisjcurfe has been worked." The services at the meetings of the church at Rauscher'a are opened* with appropriate hymns and prayers, calculated to concentrate the attention of congregation and audience on the possibility of curing through faith. Bishop Sabtn then delivers a short talk, explaining bis methods. After this the cures will be started. "What I w!ll do, any one will do," Bishop Sabtn last night. "I possess no peculiar powers. Many members of my church can heal Just as well ad I."
