At the last meeting of the board [of Alameda county supervisors] George J. Fake petitioned for a private road to run along the west bank of Sausal creek. The usual viewers were appointed, when it was discovered that the proposed road is just inside of the city [of Oakland] limits, Sausal creek being the city line, and consequently the board had no jurisdiction. All action was therefore declared void.
