3 The marriage of Miss 'Frances Marie Griffin, daughter :o£,Dr. and Mrs. Howard Pardee .Griffin, of Blnghamton, N. Y., and Private First Class John Dallas Wise, 3d, son of Mr. and 'Mrs. John Dallas Wise, Jr., North Potomac street, this city, will take place this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Lincoln Chapel, -New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, Washington, D. C. The Rev; G. Aubrey Young, pastor, of the Presbyterian Church, this .city, will read the marriage ritual as the couple exchjfcige their vows before an altar banked with palms, cendelabras and white flowers. Miss Grace Gabriel, Uhis city, will play the traditional wedding marches and render a short recital preceding the ceremony. The bride will wear a gown of very brocade silk fashioned with i fitted bodice, long pointed sleeves and a full skirt terminating in a train. Her tulle veil will be arranged with a coronet trimmed n heirloom Viennese point lace and she will carry a handkerchief edged with Viennese point lace, used traditionally by the brides in her mother's family. White orchids and gardenias will form the bride's cascade bouquet. Miss Jane Fiske Griffin, sister of the bride who will .be maid of honor and Mrs. James R. Mason, of Baltimore, sister of the bridegroom, will wear frocks of peach chiffon and carry old-fashioned nosegays of pink rosebuds and baby's breath&tied with blue ribbons. Pfc. Joseph Wilson, TJSMCR, Philadelphia, will be Pfc. Wise's best man and the ushers will include Pfc. Robert Yingling, USMCR. Breuninger, Foxhall Road, friends of the couple. When the couple leave for their honeymoon Mrs. -Wise will be dressed in chartreuse eyelet embroidery with black accessories and--a corsage of white orchids will be pinned to her shoulder. Miss Griffin is a graduate of the Binghamton Central High School and attended Randolph Macon Women's College, Lynchburg, Va., where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Pfc. Wise was graduated from St James School, St. James, after which, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended the University of North Carolina under the V-12 program for two years. He is now training in Platoon Commanders School, Quantico, Va.
