John Adam Mcdaniel and wife Martha Walden McDaniel 1902 - 63rd anniversary - Attica claims that Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McDaniel,...
Attica claims that Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McDaniel, of this city, have been married longer than any other couple in the state. They were married in Randolph county, Missouri, sixty-three years ago last Friday, March 28th. As the result of their marriage there were born fourteen children, of whom eleven are living. There are thirty-two living grand-children, and thirty-one great grand-children. Grandpa McDaniel was 83 years old on his 63 wedding anniversary, and his wife was 80 years the 30th of January. Our people are proud of this old couple. They have lived here for seventeen years, and everybody has sentiments of esteem and affection for Grandpa and Grandma McDaniel, and in return this good old couple are always promoting the welfare of deserving people. Their home is a place where all are welcome, and a visit with them is always enjoyed by both young and old. They are very busy people, as you could see were you to call at their home most any hour during the day. Grandpa attending to the garden, the cow or the pigs, and doing many things around the place. Grandma is up early every morning, and is busy from morning until night working about the house. They are as active as many people many years their junior. We join in congratulating them on being in such good health. May their remaining days on earth be full of sunshine. Attica Independent. ,
