Betty LWaddell Betty L. Logan Waddell, 60, of 452 East Middle Street, Gettysburg, died Sunday, May 5th, 2002 at the Gettysburg Hospital. Born October 21,1941 in Biglerville, she was the daughter of the late Otis Edward and Laura Grace Logan. She is survived by her daughters Wendy S. Becker, Laurie A. Jenkins and Kelly J. Waddell all of Gettysburg, PA; her son at heart David G. Spitzer and her companion Donald E. Jones. In addition, she is survived by two sisters Dawn Dovey, of Houston, PA, Mary Gebhart of Gettysburg, and a brother Calvin E. Logan of Wheatridge, Colorado: 12 grandchildren, Weston Wansel, Colton Wansel, Jubal Becker, Melody Becker, Emily Waddell, Alyssa Waddell, Katie Waddell, Dallas Jenkins, Miranda Becker, Eli Schroeder, Michelle Spitzer, Amanda Spitzer and 29 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Theola Logan, and a granddaughter Destiny Jenkins. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, grandmother, confidante and servant. She loved unconditionally and befriended the hurting and needy. She taught the meaning of love. Her faith served to be a strength to many and her life was indeed an inspiration. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 18th at 2:00pm at Heritage Assembly of God Church, 1575 Chambersburg Rd., Gettysburg with Rev. Terry Lamer and Rev. Jeff Wilson officiating. At her request all donations can be made to the Gettysburg Community Soup Kitchen at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 3005, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
