Criminal Alien Deported To His Native Germany SALT LAKE CITY, (UP)—Alfred T. Facrber, 72, former "lifer" at Utah State Prison today was deported deported to his native Germany as a criminal alien. Faerber was a principal figure in a lurid 1931 trial stemming from the abortion-death of a 20-year-old FiDmrtre; girl. He and |wo others were tried individually in the case. Faerber was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. He had formerly formerly been acquitted in another abortion abortion case. Paroled In 1943, Faerber's sentence sentence was terminated hi 1945. On May 2. 1953, he was arrested in a house in Salt Lake City after a 20-year-old mother said she had obtained an illegal operation at that address. The house contained several pieces of equipment used in abortions. Faerber had been held In Salt Lake county jail since. He was ordered deported to Germany, Germany, from whicb he came to the United States 50 years ago, by Gilbert Gilbert F. Govver director of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.
