5 Sets of Twins Born in 26 Days at St. Joseph's Hospital Birth of five sets of twins in the past 26 days at St. Joseph's Hospital Hospital is believed to have set a new record for multiple births at the hospital. Some of the oldest employes at the hospital were unable to recall any other time in the history of the hospital when there had been so many multiple births. Only one pair of five was of mixed mixed sex. First of the five sets were twin, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wittman Wittman of Godfrey. Born June 23, the babies were named David and Daniel. Daniel. On July 7, two sets of twins were born. They were Harry and Larry, sons of Mr. and Mrs, Harry Lors bach of Graf ton; and Corether and Orether, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Clevester Smith, 2704 Amelia. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Manns ol 715 Grove street were parents ol twin daughters, Jane and Janice, born July 15. The babies were born prematurely and after their removal removal to the premature baby clin ic at East St. Louis, one of the babies died. A son and daughter, the only twins of mixed sex, were born July 18, to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Campbell Campbell of 1924 Belle. The boy was given the name of Paul Glin, and the girl was named Paula Lynn.
