TERELLA IN JAIL The Man Suspected of the Terrible Tragedy Near Kingston. The particulars of Terella's arrest at Jermyn yesterday will be found in the Home depart ment of this paper. The supposed murderer when brought to this city was taken before Squire Davidson yesterday afternoon about half past three o'clock, and was committed to jail for a further hearing which will be given him on Saturday next. Terella stated yesterday that he did not do the shooting. He went into Curley's saloon with Michael Hoodock and the first thing that attracted his atten tion was a Quarrel between Curley and Hoo - dock relative to a bill owed to Curley by Hoodock. It was claimed by Hoodoelc that there was a mistake in the account, which Curley denied. The quarrel grew fierce and culminated when Curley whipped out a big revolver and shot Hoodook. The Hungarian dropped to the floor. Trella sprang to help his countryman and in the melee which followed bis effort to obtain possession possession of the revolver. Torella was shot In the hand. Then he run away and did not know now Mrs. curley wns snot or now uuney himself came to his death. Such was Terella's story and it bad an air of truthful ness about it. There was a bullet hole In his band only a few inches from the end of the sleeve, snowing that if the wound was not obtained in a light, as he says, he must have lnnioied it himself.
