Pesce River Wheat C. W. Sneers, colonisation agent, has brought samples samples of grain grown in the Peace river district to the local Immigration hall. He states that no less tiiuan six thousand thousand busnels of wheat were grown last season at Fort Vermillion in tho Peace river district by Sheridan Lawrence, Lawrence, one of the early settlers in the country. The wheat was sold to the Hudson's Ray company for $1.26 -er -er bushel, and wlU be ground at their mill on the Peace river. In additfon to the six thousand bushels of wheat Mr. Lawrence raised lust season three thousand bushels of barley and six hundred bushels of oats.
