Rin-eavage 4 6 0 4 0 2 5 9 1 Death Claimed John Hastie Sr. Delaware Avenue Death claimed John Hastie, Sr., of 512 Delaware avenue yesterday yesterday afternoon at Wilkes-Bar-re Wilkes-Bar-re Wilkes-Bar-re Wilkes-Bar-re Wilkes-Bar-re General Hospital .where he had been, a medical patient since March 10th. The deceased was born in the Oregon section of Pittston City, son of the late John and Elizabeth Elizabeth MaoMurtie Hastie, pioneer residents of the area. He resided in Pittston the greater part of his life. He was married to the former Margaret Lewis, who passed away in October, 1941. Mr. Hastie was an employe at the Hitchner Bakery. ComDanv. Exeter avenue, for 45 years. until its closing in 1950. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Presbyterian Church, Broad street, Pittston. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Pahl ,at home; sons, Lewis, Lewis, Portsmouth, Va.; Harold, El-mira; El-mira; El-mira; and John, Jr., West Pittston; Pittston; seven grandchildren; sisters, Margaret, Catherine and Mrs. Marion Wilson, all of Pittston; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Monday at 2 from the Howell Funeral Home, Wyoming Avenue, with Rev. Mervyn W. Remaly officiating. officiating. Burial in Pittston Cemetery. Cemetery. Friends may call ' Saturday night 7 to 10 and Sunday 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 10.
