Ran Amuck, Special to the Journal. Jamestown. N, Y., July 3.—Squire Tankard shot and killed Mrs. William I'iwuimonl, his wife's sister today. He then turned his revolver on Mr. Beaumont Beaumont and shot him, the bullet taking effect in his arm. After the shooting Tankard jumped into Chautauqua Lake and. placing the muzzle of the revolver at his own head, fired again but the wound was not serious, and he ran from the water and made his escape into the woods. Mrs. Tankard Tankard hnd left her husband and was living living with her sister.
