When the Hershey Lodge opened, it was first called Hershey Motor Lodge. When the Convention Center opened it was renamed Hershey Motor Lodge and Convention Center. Then the "Motor" part of the name was dropped so it became Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. Then the name was simplified to Hershey Lodge.
