Youngster Drowns in Cistern 3i Year Old Michael Knoth Dies Accidentally Michael Knoth, 3 year-old year-old year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Knoth. 1614 W. Locust St., was drowned about 6 p. m. Friday when he ac cidentally fell into a neighbor's cistern. The boy was discovered by Mrs Lois Komnick of Danvers, who was visiting her mother, Mrs. R. O. Chaddon, 1612 W. Locust St Lid Tripped Open Mrs. Komnick said she heard her daughter, Sara, 3, shouting "Mich ael, Michael." She went to the rear of the house and found the boy. The lid of the cistern had ap parently tipped open. The fire department rescue squad was called but was unable to re vive the youngster. The boy was last seen on the back porch of the Chaddon residence, which was be lieved to have been locked. Coroner Joseph Hallett has not set the date for an inquest Services Tuesday Michael was taken to the Car- Car- mody Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a. m. Mass of the Angels will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church Tuesday at 9:30 a. m. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery. He was born Sept 22, 1950. His mother was the former Marilynn Foster. One brother, Gary Paul, preceded him in death in March, He is survived by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Knoth of 610 S Clinton St.; his paternal great- great- grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Robert Knoth of 1610 W. Locust St.. and Andrew J. Hendryx of 407 W. Olive St.; his maternal grandparents, grandparents, Mrs. Leona Foster, of Ypsi-lanti, Ypsi-lanti, Ypsi-lanti, Mich., and Sherman Foster of 311 E. Locust St.; and his maternal maternal great-grandparents, great-grandparents, great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Turner- Turner- Kays of Ypsilanti.
