Alice Lake bit by cat
A mad dog from Path Valley has caused consternation among the residents of Shade Gap. Tbe animal made its appearance in the vicinity of Shade Gap several weeks ago and bit a dog belonging to Scott Lake. About ten days later Mr. Lake's dog suddenly went mad, bit a cat, three head of cattle and a horse belonging to J. K. Wiley, then escaped, biting a number of dogs, some in Shade Gap, before it was overtaken and killed. One of Mr - Lake's cattle that was bitten went made last week and was killed, and about the same time a cat that had been bitten went mad, bitting his daughter, Alice, about fourteen years old.
