NEARLY A MCRDER William Reed Stabs William Parr Several Times Daring ft Quarrel. Special Telegram to Thb Timer. York, June 8. A cutting affray that came very near costing costing William Parr, son of Enoch Parr, his life occurred at the residence of the Parrs, near Hanover. William Parr and William Reed had been to town and Parr had gone home without waiting for Mr. Reed, by which the latter was much enraged. Some time after he had got home Reed called htm out of the house Into the road and at once attacked him with a knife. The first blow struck Parr in the left arm, cutting a gash from near the shoulder to the elbow, clear to the bone. Wheu the men who heard the cries of Parr, rescued him he had received, besides the wound on his arm, a scalp wound of nbont five Inches on the back of the head, laying bare the bone; two cuts across the back three Inches and eight Inches lu length, and a cut on the back of his neck that Would have ended his life had It not been for the wadding in his coat.
