and 4-H Skit Contest Winners Listed Four-H'ers and leaders used their imagination to present a variety of skits at the recent 4-H Share-The-Fun Contest. The skits were performed at. the Salem Parish Hall in Alhambra. Alhambra. Twenty-six 4-H clubs participated participated at this county-wide activity. activity. Nineteen of the clubs received received an "A" rating and seven received a "Participation" rating. rating. The skit presented by Junior Homemakers 4-H Club of Ed- ·wardsville was selected to represent represent Madison County at the Illinois State Fair in August. Their skit, "Country Style," was a take-off from Hee Haw, the television program. First alternate to the state fair was Troy Sr. Merrymakers 4-H Club, and second alternate was Magic Clovers 4-H Club of Edwardsville. Edwardsville. Receiving honorable honorable mention was the Troy Jr. and Mini Merrymakers of Troy. Other clubs receiving an "A" ribbon were: Marine Lucky Stars and Starlets; Saddlelites, Happy Hour and Highland Highlighters, all of Highland; Green Leaf and Glen Carbon Glenettes, Glen Carbon; Godfrey-Go-Getters; Godfrey-Go-Getters; Collinsville Colonettes; Grant Prairie, Grantfork; Patchworkers, Granite Granite City; Liberty Belles, Edwardsville; Edwardsville; Cloverleaf Ag and Troy Midi Merrymakers of Troy; Town "Country, Bethalto; Bethalto; and Midway M M's of Moro. Clubs awarded a "Participation" "Participation" ribbon were: Teens Tweens, Edwardsville, Dorsey U I; Silver Creek Jr. and Alhamibra Always Alert Junior- ettes, Alhambra; Good Producers, Producers, Highland, and Moonspin- ners and 58'ers, Granite City. Introducing the acts were 13 4-H'ers iro-m the county. These youth were in competition for a trip to the Illinois State Fair as a master of ceremonies. They too received ribbons. Merla Hansel, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Merle Hansel of Troy, was selected to represent represent Madison County in the state master of ceremonies contest contest Alternates are Jean Lindsay Lindsay of Troy and Cindy Cornwell Cornwell of Edwardsville.
