Rites Set Tuesday WILSON - Mrs. Mamie Grlmsley Turnage, 79, of Black Creek died at 10 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Memorial Hospital In Wilson, following a lengthy Illness. She was born Aug. 9, 1897, In Wilson, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Grlmsley. Her husband, Willie Turnage, died In 1972, Mrs. Turnage was a member of Frank Price Presbyterian Church of Black Creek. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. John Norman Wilson, Sr., of Wilson, Miss Ruth Turnage of the home, Mrs. Grace Edmundson of Fremont, and Mrs. Lillian T. Best, Mrs. Ellen T. Plttman, Mrs. Ethel T. Hill and Mrs. Mary Ella Barnes, all of Wilson; five sons, Carson Turnage of Raleigh, and Leonard, Tom, W. R. and J. H. Turnage, all of Wilson; 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shinglcton Funeral Home in Wilson, with Dr. Dan Robertson officiating. Burial will be In Wilson's Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to the building fund of Concord Presbyterian Church in Statesville.
