May 24 at Fair Park Auditorium, the proceeds of Rushing gold The Laurel Is Killed In Accident Funeral services for Mrs. Laurel Rushing, 62, former Childress resident, will be held at 11 a m. Wednesday in the River Oaks Baptist Church in Arlington. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Rushing was killed in a car-train crash Sunday evening, according to information received here. She was born May 25, 1912, in Pike. Colling County, and moved to Childress with her parents in 1925. In recent weeks Mrs. Rushing has been writing a column for The Childress Index. Columns now in the office will be carried.
