in it to of " The celebrated Col." Henbt Lawbexce Kinney, Kinney, of Corpus Christi, Texas, is here on a short visit. Col. Kinney has lately sold a portion of his immense tract of land for $1 00,000, and is here to complete the negotiation. He has also made a contract contract for a line of steamers to run direct between this city and Corpus Christi ; the steamship James L. Day, has been put on the line, and makes her first trip this week- week- Col. Kinney offers the' greatest greatest inducements to emigrants to locate on his lands, which are increasing daily in value. A large number number of emigrants have lately arrived from England direct, and the Colony is fast filling up. It has been raining for the laat forty-eight forty-eight forty-eight hours ;
