LOCAL NEWS. Killed on the Railroad. William Bright, a brakeman on the Read ing and Columbia Railroad, was killed on Thursday night between Deep Cut and Rein - hold's Station. He was standing on the top of a coal car while the train was in motion, when suddenly the fastenings of the car - bottom gave way, tbe coal rushed out, and the unlor - lunateman was carried down with it and thrown under the cars, resulting in his death. One of his legs was cut off, and be was internally injured. He was in a dying condition when picked up. Another brakeman who was on the same car but managed to save himself, gave the alarm. The deceased had been employed employed on the road since last September. He was a son of Aaron Bright of Reading, and bad been in the regular army five years. His body was brought to his residence. No. 427 Church street, at two o'clock yesterday morn ing. X he deceased leaves a wile and three children.
