Covington, Ky. and in regard regard to which articles have recently sppeared In the EnquiKKB, attempted to commit suicide suicide on last Friday night at Blanchester. a station on the Marietta and Cincinnati Ball- Ball- road, distant soms forty miles from Cincin nati. Mrs. MeHuron, It seems, arrived - at Blanchester In tbs afternoon, at about four o'clock, and. falling to make connection with the train, went to tbe Central Hotel and secured a room. She stated that she desired to be called' for tbe early morning train. After being abown to a room sbe called for writing material, stating tbat sbe desired to write her son a letter. Sbe did not appear again to tbe peopl of tbe house. Upon Saturday Saturday morning one of tbe girls employed at the hotel was sent to call her to breakfast, but received no answer to her summons. After numerous Ineffectual attempts were msde to arouse her, tbe door of tbe room was broken open. The woman was found lying across the bed. -to -to all appearances dead, bat a closer ex amination revealed tbe- tbe- fact that abe still breathed. Dr. J. and D. Watkins were called In, and, after several hoars of faithful work, succeeded in arousing ber from tbe apparent sleep of death, and it is thought that she will now recover. A drachm bottle of morphine is found In - the room on the stand, from which bat "little had been taken. An empty vial, which bad contained tbe aame drug, ' wss also found in tbe - bed witb ber, and when questioned by tbe doctors Mrs. MeHuron stated tbat she had taken the drag with suicidal Intent, as she wanted to die. Her friends having all deerted her, sbe said sbe was heartbroken. Two letters were found, which sbe bad written after going to ber room. One was addressed to A.
