Allison Co., Indianapolis, Iml., some time ago, but the head ot that concern experienced a change of heart and cancelled his contract a few days ago. W. J. Lindstrom, supervising engineer, division of architecture and engineering, in charge of building the death houses at Joliet and Chester, has awarded the contract to the S. M. Briggs Co., Rising Sun, Ind., w i t h tho stipulation that installation must bo. complete for tho execution of Joseph Bella, Vermilion county, who w i l l pay the penalty for the killing of ,)ulia Flaherty, Danville.
