Whitaker Accept Tulare Pastorate The Rev. Robert Whitaker re turned today from a 10-day 10-day 10-day stay in Tulare. While there the Rev. Mr. Whitaker accepted a call as pastor of the First Congregational church of that city. The Whitaker family came here last July from China, after many years in missionary work there, and here the Rev. Mr. Whitaker has completed a convalescence convalescence that necessitated his giving giving up work in the foreign field. His recovery has been so rapid that he has been eager to again take up his chosen work and he looks forward with enthusiasm to his pastorate in Tulare. Mr. and Mrs. Whitaker and children will move north on Feb. 1. The Whitaker family, upon com ing to Highland at once became a part of the community. They entered entered Into the life and work of the local Congregational church and after even this brief sojourn here they will be greatly missed in the church. However all 1 rejoice that the Rev. Mr. Whitaker can resume his ministerial work and the best wishes of the circle of newly-made newly-made newly-made friends will go with them from here.
