Letters to The Editor Mother Prefers Road Blockade to Worry Over School Children Editor Herald: I would like to say a few words about the roac blockade by the Franklin School Speaking as a parent who has four children at the school, ] much prefer a blockade to the worry of the children in the street. We live by the school and I don't believe there are very many people who even slow down for the kids in good weather or bad. There is one very thoughtful motorist who honks his horn loudly as he passes the school at a nice rate of speed. ; I have watched the kids slide and play with their sleds on the ice and I know how much pleasure pleasure is derived from it. Surely most parents will go out of their way during slick weather so the kids can enjoy themselves The playground may seem large, but there isn't much room for 600 children who must do all their playing outdoors. Mrs. Rex Farley. P. S. We enter our driveway from Seventh West, the street in question. ;
