of County Presents Gym To Town of Katy At one of the most festive and occasions known for some time in this vicinity.-the j County presented Katy with a Wonderful Gym, costing around $20,000. Space does not permit the telling of the wonderful pagaent that was presented to almost one thousand persons attending from near and far. The introduction by Supt., Byrom, of Mrs. Olipant, Pres., of T. P. A., talk by Mrs. L. E. Morrison and presentation of flowers to her. The trlk by C. C. Cardiff, Presidant of Katy School Board, the dedication by E. E. Chamness, Dep. State School Supt. Then came the entry of the King (George Rheman) followed by dukes and duechesses,— the Queen, all hail the Queen— path strewn with flowers (Verna Wander) advanced to receive tbe crown at the feet of the king, to the strains of muted music of the school orchestra—Curtain. The music and singing of the Ray Fogle-Howard West Singers, the Rythm band and the black fa'ce skit—The Undertaker's daughter made up the balance of the entertainment-then the best—hot dogs—cool drinks, hot drinks, lights, music. Well a good time was had by all.
