Dallas, Tex., Oct. 25.--The first picture sold from the present art exhibit of the State fair that is now in progress here is the "Brass Bowl," anil is the work of Robert Jenkins Onderdonk of San Antonio. The purchaser .of the picture is J. S. Culinan, president of the Texas company, who is making a collection for his Houston home. Onderdonk is a pupil of W. M. Chase, one of the most noted American paiut. ers,* and a striking similarity can be observed in their work. Mr. Julian Onderdonk, brother of Robert Onuerdonk, and a former resi dent of Texas, but now a member o: the New York art colony, has only one painting on exhibition here, it being a spring time afternoon.
