o | CHARLES W. WALKER j , Charles W. Walker, who departed this life on Thursday, September 11, was born at Baby Head on February 4, 1892, being thirty-eight years of age at the time of his death. He had lived in this county and at Cherokee ., most of his life. i On November 22, 1907, he was unit-j ed in marriage to Miss Mary Williams at Cherokee and to this union nine children were born, all of whom sur- , mond, Alice Mae and James. j Besides the wife and children, deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Walker of Cherokee, also brothers and sisters. The remains were prepared for burial by Milea Buttery, local undertaker, and on Friday morning at 11:00 o'clock, were followed to Cerokee by a long procession of grief stricken relatives and sorrowing friends, where they were tenderly laid to ( rest in the presence of the large concourse who t had known Charlie Walker during his : active days of life. j The services were conducted by • vive the father. They are Robert Lee Cleo, J. T. Pauline, Bill, Cecil, Ray-, Rev. Howell of Cherokee who paid '• respect to the worth and memory of the deceased, and the grave was covered with flowers of love and esteem. Deceased was well known in this county and for some time had resided with his family in Llano. He was in the employ of the city at the time of his death. He was an industrious man and through nis genial disposition, made friends with- all all whom he met.
