WIFE OF CIRCUS OWNER DIES IN SOUTHERN CITY Funeral services were held In East Brady Saturday morning for Mrs. Charles Sparks, wife of the owner of the DowTiey Brothers cir- or.H cus and well known m Warren and i Thursday in Macon, Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. Sparks were In winter quarters with their circus and making preparations for the annual spring tour of this region. Mrs. Sparks had been in ill health ^Vrriparks was a resident of ! East Brady for many years. After her marriage to Charles Sparks, the remainder of her life was spent traveling with the Sparks and Downey Brothers circuses. For many years Mr. Sparks o\^Tied a circus which bore his own name and made annual visits to cities in this scetion. tnis sceuon. ‘ Several years ago the Sparks , and Downey arcuses j were merged under of Mr. Sparks, but retained the I name of Downey Brothers. Besides her husband Mrs. Sparks is survived by tliree sisters, Mrs. Debbie Morrison, Oil City; Mrs. Lane, of Freeport, and Mrs. Campbell, of Oakmont.
