Charles Flohr, The Hunters, 02 Oct 1897, The Record-Union, Sacramento, CA - THE HUNTERS. There Were Not Many Ducks Bagged...
THE HUNTERS. There Were Not Many Ducks Bagged Bagged Yesterday. There were not many big bags of game made by the sportsmen who left the city yesterday morning. Some J brought back a few ducks, and others i failed to get a feather. Charley Flohr got five ducks and a tame goose, though he contends that he dropped it from a flock of wild geese. County Clerk Hamilton returned with a sickly looking spoonbill. He said he had three other ducks, but his friends discredit the story. Will Young went down to the Pocket land bagged three ducks. Charley tSchwllk and, a friend went out early to a pond they had kept baited for a month, only to'find that others had got there ahead of them, made good bags and driven off the ducks. But there are better days a-coming. ! \ Sacj i ownerj | | i
