Mr. Austin Mclnerney.a respected citizen citizen and a resident of Alton for over thirty years, died at G :30 o'clock this morning of malarial fever, after an illness illness of ton days. Tho deceased was 7G years old and was a native of County Clare, Ireland. He emigrated to this country about 35 years ago, and during his long rosidonco in Alton enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all who knew him. lie leaves a widow, five sons and throe daughters bereaved by his death. One of his sons is Mr. J. J. Me- Inerncy, editor of the Madison County Sentinel. Tho funeral will tako plac« to-mor- roiv afternoon at, 1 o'clock, sharp, from tho residence in Middletown to the Cathedral.
