VX'ashington — The HOLII¿ rc- tuted to approve money for Glen Rider, Turtle Creek, Toronto ind Strawn dams in Kansas. Peace officers, sheriffs and chiefs oi police from all over Kansas were asked to converge on Abilene June 3rd and ^th for the Eisenhower homecoming celebration. A crowd of 100,000 was rxpectcd. Electrical work was completed on rhe new traffic lights ar Sixth Avenue and Constitution Street. Children in rhe .sixth grade ar Mary Herbert School held a per show for the entertainmenr of the children in the lower grades. Mosr pets were either dogs or cars. There was one squirrel and a lizard and some birds. The exhibitors were Ruth Ann Hogwood, Margarer Cowan, Judith Tuxhorn, Rose Maty Rogers, Ronald Ramirez, Richard Rhoades, Robert Payton, Louis Lowety, Marilyn Ratley, Evedina Sanchez, John Steele, Donald Stonebraker, Mary Crux and Dennis Thornton.
