J.O.Y. Class Has Outing in Farewell To Betty Baldwin Members of the J.O.Y. class of the First Presbyterian church held their monthly party, at Camp Acre mola, the Camp Fire lodge In Wa terman canyon, Monday evening The affair honored Betty Baldwin who is moving to Santa Ana at the close of school. Meeting at the high school, th girls went together to the lodge. Mrs. Dewain H. Wissler and Victor Gutzwiller providing the transporta tion. Ardelle Bishop and Dorothy Person were the committee in charge. Arriving at the lodge, the girls made ice cream, then went for hike along the stream, returning to the lodge for a wiener bake around the fire, singing and playing games, A short business session was held and the class presented Miss Bald win with a farewell gift, the ice cream and cake being enjoyed as the final feature. Miss Alverda Hertzler, dean of girls at the high school, was a spe cial guest, others being Mrs. Wiss ler, Mr. Gutzwiller, Mrs. A. E. Bald win and Phyllis Baldwin. Other enjoying the party were Misses Shirley Wissler, Eileen Stein, Caro lyn Hallmark, Gladys Kupper, Ruth Thomas, Violet Young, Aurice Wray Meredith Austerman, Mary Ste phens, Esther Burtt, Phyllis Grif fin, Evelyn Kiefer, Anna Lee Smith Betty Baldwin, Joyce Erlckson and Mrs, J. B. Erickson, the class teacher.
