Garrett Weds Miss Stubblefield Marriage of Dr. John Carr Garrett of Huntsville and Miss Marie Stubblefield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Stubblefield of Mena, Ark., took place here Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. E. H. Stark and Dr. Stark, 210 Pine Bluff Street, in the presence of the immediate families. The Rev. C. E. Garrett oi Huntsville, father of the bridegroom, performed the ceremony. This took place before the fireplace which was garlanded in green with talisman roses on the mantlepiece. Other decorations were daisies and gladiolus. The bride wore a frock of sheer black matelasse with an eton jacket and white accessories, and a corsage of sweetheart roses and lilies of the valley. After the ceremony, cake and punch were served from s table, covered with lace and lighted by white tapers in crystal candelabra. After two weeks wedding trip to N'ew Orleans and other Gulf Coast points, Dr. and Mrs. Garrett will be at home at HunL-- vill«, where he will engage in pri -ate practice. He is the son of the Rev. an.i Mrs. C. E. Garrett of Huntsville, and af'er graduating from line Huntsville High School, he attended Sam Houston State Teachers College. Hn received his degree in medicine from the University of Texas school of medicine at Ga'veston and served his interneship at John Sealy Hospital. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, honorary medical society and of Phi Beta Pi, professional fraternity. The bride who for three yea'* has been nursing at .John Senly hospital, is a graduate of the. Mena. Ark., high school, of Pari- .lunior College and of Santa Rosa School of Nursing in San Antonio.
