AGED LETTER CARRIER DEAD IA RED BOVER, GRAND ARMY VETERAN, EXPIRED, AT HIS HOME, TODAY. .Tared Boyer, for many years of the local force of letter-carriers, died, at noon today, of consumption, at bis home, on Ninth street, near AValnut. He had been a sufferer for some years, the progress of the malady compelling him to resign from the mail service and seek health at the Hampton (Va.) national soldiers' homo. For the past year he resided here. 'Mr. Boyer was ,"S years old, and Is survived by his wife and a son, John, both of whom live near AVilllamsport, Two brothers, Asa and Ezra Boyer, both of this city, also survive. Mr. Boyer was a member of the G. A. R., having served In the 03d Pennsylvania Volunteers; a member of Camp 254, P. O- S. of A., and Salem Ev. Lutheran church. Funeral Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, services to be held in Sons of America hall.
