Wolflino Taken to Newton County Jail. Frederick Otto Wolfling, held as an enemy alien, who has been confined in the city jail since his arrest two weeks ago, was taken to Neoaho this morning for incarceration incarceration in the county jail as a federal prisoner. He was taken to Neosho by John R. Gibbs, deputy deputy United States marshal. Wolfling in a signed statement, which is in the possession of federal federal authorities, admits he deserted deserted from the United States army in July, 1892. In the same statement Woifling also says he has not taken out citizenship papers, although he has voted for the past eighteen years. The German who was divorced from his wife last fall, appeared in the past few days to feel bis position keenly and, unless engaged engaged in earnest conversation with prominent citizens, who daily visited him, he kept away from the gaze of the people whose business took them to police police headquarters, where he had bee incarcerated since his arrest. —News-Herald.
