Mrs. Tuck will go to Springfield tomorrow night where she will meet Dr. Tuck and they will go to Morrisville to visit bio mother. Wolflino Taken to Newton County Jail. Frederick Otto Wolfling, held as an enemy alien, who has been confined in the city jail since his arrest two weeks ago, was taken to Neoaho this morning for incarceration in the county jail as a federal prisoner.

He was taken to Neosho by John R. Gibbs, deputy United States marshal. Wolfling in a signed statement, which is in the possession of federal authorities, admits he deserted from the United States army in July, 1892. In the same statement Woifling also says he has not taken out citizenship papers, although he has voted for the past eighteen years. The German who was divorced from his wife last fall, appeared in the past few days to feel bis position keenly and, unless engaged in earnest conversation with prominent citizens, who daily visited him, he kept away from the gaze of the people whose business took them to police headquarters, where he had bee incarcerated since his arrest.

G. W. Yadon, who is acting as marshrl during the absence of City Marshal B. J. Pearman, who went to St.

Louis a few days ago to consult an eye specialist, received word from Mr. Pearman this morning that he is getting along nicely. Rev. and Mrs. J.

C. Peiffer and Mrs. Rose Cline drove to Baxter Springs last evening and attended the tabernacle meeting which is being held there by Rev. 0. E.
