Corday Kenney (Leer) Buckley (1867-1963) would become prominent in national hereditary organizations. She was the sole child not to accompany her mother, Amelia (Turner) Leer (1852-1915), relocating to Noble from Bourbon County, KY in 1899. The Bible was placed with Mary Tribble (Phelps) Smith (1865-1946, still living at this time), who was at Noble by 1900. Smith was Leer’s niece. The Bible had once been kept by Leer’s paternal grandfather, Thomas Turner (1764-1847).
