Mrs A. S. Vedder an old and respected resident of Chilliwack, quietly passed away on Sunday Evening last, at her home at Sardis after a short illness. Deceased was 63 years of age; a native of Napanee, Ont. and came to this province in 1871 with her former husband John Segar (*Sicker)., who was accidently drowned in the Luck-a-kick river a short time afterwards.
