HITCHINGS THE PASSING OF Mr. Gilbert Thomas Hitchings, age 73 years of 1427 Avenue C, North, Saskatoon, occurred in a local hospital on Sunday, October 8th, 1967. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 12th at 1:30 p.m. from Park Funeral Chapel. Surviving are: his wife Clara May; four daughters: Mrs. A. J. Britain (Lorena) of Kelowna, B.C.; Mrs. G. Stubbs (Gene) of Alberni, B.C.: Mrs. Jeraldine LaPlate and Mrs. F J. Shepperd (Doreen) both of Saskatoon; three sons: Gilbert George and Lawrence Edward both of Saskatoon and Ervin Clifford of Grandora, Sask.; one sister: Mrs. Grace Ewen of Asquith, Sask,: three brothers: Wilson G. Hitchings and Norman Hitchings both of Saskatoon and W. Hitchings of Asquith, Sask. and twenty-five grandchildren. The late Mr. Hitchings was born in Gloucester, England and came to Canada fifty-five years ago, He farmed at Asquith for about twenty-five years before retiring in 1959 when he came to Saskatoon where he had since resided. Mr. Hitchings was a veteran of the First World War. Interment will take place in the family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery, Courtesy parking north of the Chapel staff attendant. 10-11-c
