Monday, Oct. 8, 1979 in the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. Death was unexpected. Born Oct. 1, 1915 in Orbisonia, Orbisonia, she was the daughter of Orrin and Mary (Ulsh) Bard. She was united in marriage to Joseph K. Price of Shade Gap on June 6,1931 in Shade Gap. Her husband survives as does her mother, Mrs. Mary Bard of Mount Union. She is also survived by 11 children: Mrs. William (Josephine) Miller, Richard Price, Joseph M. Price, Victoria Price. Mrs. Patrick (Mary Jane) Metzler, Susan N. Price, Glenda D. Price, and Randall J. Price, all of Shade Gap; Mrs. Glenn (Marlene) Bowman of Patton; Mrs. Jim (Sandra) Hughes of Carlisle; and Gary L. Price of Orbisonia. Orbisonia. Nineteen grandchildren grandchildren and nine great grandchildren grandchildren also survive. She is also survived by a mother and a sister, Carl P. Bard of Huntingdon and Mrs. Alda Mann of Bel Aire, Md. She was a member of the Shade Gap Methodist Church and the ladies' prayer circle of Shade Gap. She was also a member of the Mount Union Chapter No. 280, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Shade Gap Area Ladies Auxiliary. She had been employed as a cafeteria worker at the Shade Gap Elementary School until her retirement in 1970. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap R.D., with the Rev. Belvy C. White officiating. Interment will be made in Fair Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Martin R/ Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. and at the church Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the services. The Eastern Star chapter will conduct services at the funeral home today at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions contributions be made to the Huntingdon County Chapter of the American Heart Association.
