Carr Throws No-Hitter Dave Carr came within one man of pitching a perfect game as he threw a no-hitter to lead Milford lo a 9-0 win over South New Berlin in Tri-Valley West Play- In other league action, Lawens beat Cherry Valley 9-2 and Mt. Upton lopped Gilbertsville 4-0. Carr threw perfect ball until Mike Boyer drew a walk to lead off fhe sixlh inning. After retiring Boyer on a double play, Carr retired the rest of the SNB lineup in order. Dave Bliss blasted a double and a triple to pace Milford, now 5-1,. in the hilling department. Carr added a double. Carr struck oul 13. Laurcns kept a slim hold o! second place with an easy win over Cherry Valley.
