Franken-Hazzard Miss Karen Hazzard and David Franken were married in Gordon Chapel of Second Congregational Church, Rockford, Sunday with Rev. Henry Alexander officiating at the double-ring ceremony Organist was Richard Litterst. Miss Ruthann Alexander was soloist. Bouquets of white stock decorated the chapel. The bride, given in marriage iy her father, chose for her wedding a gown of ivory silk- faced peau with long fitted sleeves and an empire waistline. Imported Venician lace accented the bodice and sheath skirt. A separate silk-faced train with Venician lace trim at the sweep highlighted the dress. A self rose was at the waistline. of of in Another self rose caught by French silk illusion formed her veil. She held cymbidium orchids. Miss Sue Edwards, LaGrange, was maid of honor. Mrs. Jack O'Brien of Bloomington, Ind., served as bridesmaid. Both wore gowns of aqua silk organza with hats of aqua veiling. They held crescents of white and aqua carnations. Brother Attends Robert Franken of Upland, Calif, served his brother as best man, and the bride's brother, Duane Hazzard, was groomsman. Ushers were Kenneth Hazzard and David Hazzard, both brothers of the bride. A reception for more than 200 guests followed at the Inn Towne Restaurant, Rockford. Assisting were: Miss Judy Kaz- mierowski, Miss Chris Arendt and Miss Denise Hazzard, sister of the bride. After the reception, the couple went on a honeymoon trip to New York City. The bridegroom, a son of Rev. and Mrs. Henry Franken of Roxbury, N. Y., attended Hope College and is employed by American Seating Company, Chicago. The parents of the bridegroom were hosts to the wedding party Saturday evening at the Salad Bowl in Rockford. The bride's parents entertained out-of-town guests at their home Sunday after the wedding and reception. c
