Sunday at 2:45 a.m. Deputies mil Kelly and Speedy Sanchez were driving past rhe Bridge Street Clinic, when they spotted a woman standing on a corner looking very ill. They asked if mey could help her, and she told them she was going to have a baby. She climbed in the back seat and a baby girl weighing 6 3-4 pounds was born. The sheriff's office reported she waited 10 minutes until the clinic nurse was summoned and then the peace officers helped her walk into the hospital. Clinic authorities said Sunday that both mother and child were doing well.
