Bayard Robley-the Robley Quartet-p.8-13 June 1913-Oxnard Courier-California - of the of 24, L.um- district district County....
of the of 24, L.um- district district County. on said referred. of word for the Chautauqua. "That this year will be up to standard in excellence, there is no doubt. Among the many other fine attractions the workers have secured for this year, they are pleased to announce that of the Robley Quartet, which is steadily improved until at present time it ranks among the male quartets of the country. The balance is excellent, the presence is fine. The program is full of life vivacity and the audience feels the spirit of good fellowhsip that characterizes all the programs given by Robleys. "Their program might be called Four in One. Not only are they quartet as we usually understand the word, but each is an artist in more ways than one. So in addition to the usual program of quartet and solos, they present a Melophone quartet and a one-act sketch, "The Trials of a College Poet." This was written especially for the Robley quartet by Dr. Andrew Sledd,- president of the University of Florida, and is a jolly, rousing farce introducing the four members of the quartet and showing Bo's room in the dormitory of a college. ~ "Mr. Bayard T. Robley, the manager, is a reader and impersonator unusual ability. Rich in humor and pathos, natural and sympathetic. To hear him read is to forget yourself laugh and cry with him." o
