Y., died last night at the home ot his daughter, Mrs. Joseph St. Cyr Bridges road. He had been in failing health'for (he past two Mr. Godfrey was born in Wil- liamslown the son ol the Jale William A. and Mary Anne (Walker). Godfrey. For about years he, w i t h a brother, operated Ihe 'Godfrey Brothers General store on Cole avenue. For nine years he was fireman anci engineer in Greylock M i l l llamslown, and for 20 years chief marine engineer at the harbors of Boston, and New York. For the past 25 years he has operated a gas slalion at North Petersburg. Survivors, in addition lo Mrs. St. Cyr, are two daughters, Mortimer I f . Kipp of Mrs. N a t h a n Bass of Y.; three sons, William H. Godfrey and Melvin F. Godfrey of Pll'tJslicW, Arthur E, Godfrey ol Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, William W. Godfrey of North Arlington, N. J., Frank Godfrey and Chester G. Godfrey of Williamstown; and two sisters, Mrs. Imogcne . Snow Mrs. Charles Larahee both of Williamslowji. Ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive as do several nieces nephews. He attended. Ihe First Methodist church In Williamstown Petersburg. The body is at Ihe Hopkins' Funeral home, where calling hours w i l l be Irom 7 to tonight and 2 to 5 o'clock and to 10 o'clock lomorrow r .
